Old school!

My drawings started out like this, an unknown style, a combination of manga and western of sorts. I don't know what to call it though. This was before I became a student at Whilce Portacio's Comic Creation Course. And my signature back then sucks too. ^^;

Enter PHONGKOLOIDZ!!!

My Brother's band, PHONGKOLOIDZ! Featuring MAMARK! [the one wearing the checkered cap]

Above is my brother and the lead singer of their band, he also holds the guitar position. Known to his fellow band mates as Tamulmol!

Their drummer extraordinaire; September Ben a.k.a. Lester but also known among his band mates as Tambalaekoy!

The Bassist, the master of plucking thick strings and die hard Beatles fan; Joey Chichabachichachi!!!

The master musician singer songwriter himself, the life of the group, and the noisiest of them all, I give you Marco Angelo "BUSAKULO" H. Padua on guitar and backup vocals!

And last but not the least; the hairy one who hates every bit of vegetation, the one who does not eat his greens, the one and the only BULBULATOR!!!

Scrap...

An unfinished drawing of Jill Valentine and Sheva Alomar from Resident Evil 5. Sheva doesn't look like Sheva, so I decided to scrap this one and hopefully i would be able to do a new one, and more accurate for that matter.

Something New!

Something I've been working on, some initial sketches. I'll post some finished pages later. Above are the Black Mercy page layouts and below are page layouts for The Venger, both stories are included in an anthology comic titled The Venger Special. Written by Matthew Spatola, penciled by Me [Jun Joe Monares] and digital inks by Scott Shriver. To be released early this year [2010].

Wonder Boy revamp

The new Wonder Boy, not only did the packaging changed, even the contents. It's not bad though, tastes like sweet corn.

But I miss the old Wonder Boy i grew up with, the chips were huge, almost like a small plate. Now it's rings, kinda like the Cheese rings.

I've been trying to find an image of the old wrapper online, but no success, I should have kept a wrapper for safe keeping, I never thought they would change something iconic.

To those like me who grew up eating wonder boy and tasting its deliciousness, they understand what I mean.

The old design resembled Gatchaman aka G-force, it was way cooler.

Baby!

My niece, she's 2 months old now! how time flies.

Watercolor

I bought this from a nearby store, because I could not find my old one. It must still be stashed somewhere in my stuff, I just cant remember where.

This new one works just as well, although the case is now transparent rather than the old ones back then.

Pretty cheap, yet I am more comfortable using this than the expensive ones.
